City of Winnipeg
Over 80 local organizations, businesses, groups and individuals joined with the city to express their commitment to the Journey of Reconciliation by formally becoming partners in Winnipeg’s Indigenous Accord. The Accord is a living document that commits signatories to become partners in advancing reconciliation and to report the success of their commitment to reconciliation on an annual basis. It articulates a shared vision for reconciliation and commitments to embracing respectful relationships with First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and to participating in ongoing acts of reconciliation. It also identifies 10 key principles that inform this reconciliation work.
