Description

In response to current declines in many caribou populations and hunting moratoriums, this study characterizes the relationship between Inuit and caribou, explores Inuit perspectives on caribou management, and identifies opportunities for sustaining the Mealy Mountain caribou. The study reveals the impact of conservation management decisions on Inuit connections to caribou and how they affect their ability to access food, their culture, and their well-being.
