Description

The authors undertook a systematic review of studies conducted between January 2000 and February 2018 in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States to identify health-care interventions that improved cultural safety for Indigenous people living with diabetes and the potential impacts of these interventions on patients and health-care professionals. The study found that despite the paucity of studies, there was moderate evidence that interventions to improve cultural safety had positive effects on the treatment of diabetes in Indigenous populations.
