Ontario Public Health Standards: Requirements for Programs, Services and Accountability

Description

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has developed standards for public health programs and services that aim to support improved health outcomes for individuals living in Ontario through the delivery of public health programs and services that fit with the needs and contexts of local communities. This document sets out minimum standards related to: 1) population health assessment, 2) health equity, 3) effective public health practice, and 4) emergency management. It also sets out program-specific and accountability standards.
