Parents as First Teachers: A resource booklet about providing for a healthy family based on Inunnguiniq teachings provides supports to Inuit parents on raising children in a strong environment of close relations. It is grounded in the cultural teachings and experiences of Inuit Elders and in the practices of inunnguiniq – making a capable human being.
The National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health (NCCIH) worked in partnership with the Aqqiumavvik Society to develop this booklet as well as three other booklets in the series.
The booklets are available for download in Inuktitut (see below), in English, and in French from both the Aqqiumavvik Society and NCCIH websites. They are also as available for hard copy order from the NCCIH at no charge.
