This journal article reports on findings from a study exploring Indigenous patients' experiences with racism and how cultural safety can be improved within health care, utilizing a Two-Eyed Seeing approach. Key themes focused on the patients' experiences of racism and impacts on health outcomes and trust in the health care system; devaluation of traditional medicine and Indigenous perspectives on health; and how to improve trust in health care through Indigenous services, supports, and cultural safety education.
