Description

The author presents her perspectives on physicians' responsibility to engage in reconciliation and decolonize health care, based on themes identified in existing literature. These include: 1) engagement of Indigenous peoples in developing health interventions, 2) increased physicians' awareness and education around colonialism and their role in ongoing oppression of Indigenous Peoples, and 3) practicing cultural safety.
