Developed to respond to the BC provincial government's commitment to a new relationship with Indigenous Peoples, this guide is intended to help anyone working in the BC Public Service and living on the traditional territories of Indigenous people to shift their attitudes and behaviors so they are able to build relationships with First Nations peoples and communities based on respect, recognition, and accommodation of Indigenous title and rights. It articulates a set of 17 competencies, grouped into four types (personal effectiveness, achieving business results, interpersonal relationships, and leading people).
