This paper presents findings from a qualitative research study investigating the health care needs of elderly women and their caregivers in the Métis community of Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. The authors examined access to home care and long-term care services and made policy recommendations in this area to ensure home care and long-term care are responsive to women's needs as care recipients, care providers, and caregivers.
