Description

Drawing from data collected in the Inuit Health Survey, the authors measure levels of selected metals and persistent organic pollutants in the blood of Inuit adults living in the Canadian Arctic to assess body burden. Contaminant levels were often higher among this population compared to the general population, but average blood levels tended to be below screening and intervention guidelines.
