Canadian Heritage
Informed by the lived experiences of individuals across Canada with racism and discrimination, derived from engagement sessions held between October 2018 to March 2019, this strategy involves a $45 million investment to combat racism and discrimination and build a more inclusive and equitable country. A dedicated $3.3 million was set aside for increasing public awareness and understanding, in both urban and rural areas, of the historical roots of racism and its different impacts on Indigenous Peoples, as well as on racialized and religious minority communities.
