2010

Findlay, L.C., & Kohen, D.E.

Description

Using data from the 2006 Aboriginal Children's Survey, this article describes child care for off-reserve First Nations, Inuit and Métis children. Specifically, it focuses on cultural aspects of the care environment, type of care, regulatory status, total hours in care, and number of care arrangements. It also examines associations between sociodemographic characteristics and patterns of child care use and child outcomes, and between cultural activitites and language use in child care with child outcomes.
