The author undertakes a review of the literature on Indigenous people's connection to water and how water insecurity affects Indigeous people, then undertakes a comparative case study of the impacts of water insecurity on Grassy Narrows and Attawapiskat First Nations. The author explores the disconnect Indigenous people have faced from their traditional connection to water due to water insecurity and discusses solutions to end all water injustice and discrimination against First Nation communities.
