This document articulates entry-level competencies that all nurse practitioners must possess when they begin practicing. These include using culturally-appropriate communication techniques and tools, providing culturally-safe care, using relational strategies to establish therapeutic relationships, identifying personal beliefs and values, and providing unbiased care.
