Description

This article presents findings on a study investigating the impacts of the Healthy Baby Prenatal Benefit (HBPB) on the birth outcomes and development of infants born to Métis mothers in Manitoba over the period 2003-2011. The study found that the HBPB was associated with improved birth outcomes and child vaccinations; however, it was also associated with increased neonatal readmissions.
