Finding the voice of the early author: The impact of a self-authoring program among First Nations, Métis, and Inuit preschool children and families

2017

Coulthard, C.E.

Description

This thesis examined the impacts of implementing a dual language identity text program into an Ontario Aboriginal Head Start preschool program on children, families and staff. Specifically, it aimed to identify the ways in which the creation of Identity Texts impacted a child's sense of self and identity, the ways that family members perceived the impacts of the program, and the ways that early childhood educators and staff perceived the impacts of the program.
