The Health Accord outlines steps for creating a 10-year plan for health transformation that focusses on awareness of and intervention in the social determinants of health and a balance of community-based and hospital-based services. The hope for this transformation is to achieve a better, more integrated and coordinated, health care system that is accessible, inclusive, and equitable. The Accord provides for the creation of four committees: an Indigenous Advisory Group, a Community Sector Circle, Key Informant Groups, and an Engagement Group.
