In this thesis, the author explores the role of intergenerational cultural engagement during children's early years in promoting healthy environments. The research involves a qualitative study exploring the experiences and perceptions of five Indigenous grandmothers from the Grandmother's Wisdom Network about the challenges they face in carrying out their roles of passing on traditional knowledge and practices and preserving Indigenous cultural identity. Study findings highlight the importance of supportive early environments, including connection to kinship and culture, in promoting children's social, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
