Description

This article provides an overview of existing cancer care services in British Columbia, barriers to accessing these services for First Nations, and the system-wide movement to embed cultural safety and humility within health services and cancer care quality improvement efforts. It then describes key elements of BC's 2017 Indigenous Cancer Strategy and how it aims to improve Indigenous cancer journeys.
