This booklet discusses traditional and contemporary mothering for Indigenous women and the role colonization had, and continues to have, in contributing to disrupted mothering practices and the introduction of FASD. The booklet presents examples of supportive community programs for Indigenous mothers and children, including parenting support, midwifery, and community wellness policies.
