Description

Based on foundational principles of children’s rights and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and developed through comprehensive public engagement, including with First Nations, this strategy outlined priorities and actions for ensuring that children have the right to live free from all forms of harm. It adopts a social determinants of health approach to keeping children and youth safe from harm. The strategy identifies indicators to be used to measure its success in relation to each priority area.
