In this article, the authors provide an overview of Métis people's experiences with pandemics and the role of matrilineal knowledges in intergenerational healing. They illustrate how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting young urban Métis women and girls, reveal gaps in access to culturally safe health services, and offer innovative community-based examples of COVID-19 responses led by young urban Métis women and girls.
