The author considers how First Nation, Métis, and Inuit families can be equitably included in the learning of their children. She does this by discussing key aspects of an Organizational Improvement Plan that is designed to address the problem of lack of procedures and processes for enabling Indigenous communities to become empowered to fully participate in the learning of their children.
