Description

This article describes the academic development of students who had participated in the Mnidoo Mnising Anishinabek Kinoomaage Gaming (MMAK) early learning language immersion kindergarten program on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. The article describes the development of the MMAK and its successes and challenges, then discusses participants' holistic development, including cognitive development and English language acquisition.
