This report summarizes proceedings from a colloquium on racism, cultural safety, and Aboriginal Peoples' health, held in February of 2012. Common themes that emerged at the event included the need for: education and training in schools and among professionals about the history of Indigenous Peoples, cultural safety and realities of racism; increased evaluation of current anti-racism and cultural safety initiatives, policies, and programs; accountability among professionals and institutions to ensure culturally safe spaces and practices are provided; as well as identification of future priorities related to anti-racism and cultural safety in research, policy, and practice.
