Responding to the United Nations Human Rights Officer of the High Commissioner and the Ontario Human Rights Commission statements highlighting the need for increasing sensitivity regarding discrimination and bias in the context of COVID-19, this statement expresses the OACAS’ commitment to cultural humility and debunks myths about the disease to enhance understanding about coronavirus among child welfare workers in order to combat stigmatization.
