Description

This article presents findings from an evaluation of the Aboriginal Prenatal Wellness Program serving four Maskwacis First Nations in central Alberta. The program provides a culturally safe approach to prenatal care. The authors highlight how the program has addressed barriers to care and led to improved maternal and neonatal health outcomes, and discuss implications for nursing practice.
