Description

This article describes the development and structure of a unique mental wellness clinic, as well as the sources of referral, demographics, diagnoses, and other characteristics of patients seen over a 15 month period. The clinic embodies Sts'ailes values and traditional wellness practices, and stems from commitments made in in a Health Partnership Accord to blend "the best of two worlds in health in medicine and ancestral teachings and ways of knowing" (n.p.).
