Description

The authors provide an overview of national and administrative data sources that encompass child maltreatment captured by government entities across Canada. The goal is to inform future data collection efforts in this area and enable assessment of Canada's progress on SDG indicators related to eliminating violence against children. The authors conclude by discussing the benefits of using survey and administrative data, gaps in child maltreatment research, and policy implications.
