Facilitating culturally safe learning and teaching environments is essential for Indigenous students' academic success and the building of an Indigenous health workforce, which in turn is essential to improving health outcomes for Indigeous people. This article explores the use of yarning circles within a professional development program to enhance awareness of cultural safety among midwifery academics to enable them to provide a culturally safe learning environment for Indigenous midwifery students.
