Drawing on experience from Ngāi Tahu in Aotearoa/New Zealand, this paper describes how historic patterns of activity can be pieced together as a basis for restoring degraded areas and ensuring connection to lands and waters found within tribal territories, as well as fostering connections with health and well-being.
