This article reports findings from a study on the potential effects of maternal smokeless tobacco exposure on selected birth outcomes for Alaska Native women residing in western Alaska who gave birth during the period 1997-2005. Specifically, it examined outcomes related to preterm delivery, pregnancy-associated hypertension, and placental abruption.
