Description

The authors explore the experiences of urban First Nations and Métis patients with inflammatory arthritis in accessing and navigating the health system in Calgary, Alberta. Specifically, the study highlighted their experience with inflammatory arthritis, self-management strategies, initial and ongoing access to rheumatology care, access to information about the disease and living with it, concerns about disease management, and the collaborative and continuous care they received at the Elbow River Healing Lodge.
