Stemming from recommendations for improving mental health and addictions services that came from the Mental Health and Addictions Strategy Advisory Committee’s “Come Together” report, this 5-year plan outlines 33 actions for providing better care to Nova Scotians living with mental illness and addictions across five priority areas. These include: 1) intervening and treating early for better results, with a focus on children and youth; 2) shorter waits, better care; 3) Aboriginal and diverse communities, 4) working together differently, and 5) reducing stigma.
