Description

This strategy adopted a holistic and strengths-based approach to addressing violence against Indigenous women. Key priorities included the development of: community-based programs and services that are flexible, holistic, culturally appropriate, and support healing from intergenerational trauma; a survivor-centred strategy to address human trafficking that meets the cultural needs of Indigenous communities; and a culturally appropriate framework for measuring performance.
