The author explores how nurses in one urban public health unit in Ontario work to address health inequities through a lens of cultural safety. Findings are collated into two themes: 1) building relationships, and 2) working within a public health frame. The author argues that embedding cultural safety as a framework for public health practice can guide upstream actions.
