Description

This article documents Mi'kmaw Elders' stories of the Pictou Landing First Nation community, known for centuries as A'se'k, before it became contaminated from effluent disposal from a nearby pulp mill. Their stories emphasize the varied benefits that the land provided to community members before contamination and the changes to the land and health after the mill was put in.
