Growing up healthy: A resource booklet about providing for a healthy family based on Inunnguiniq teachings provides supports to Inuit parents and families by sharing knowledge and activities of Inuit in the past to set an example for healthy living today. Harvesting food, physical activity, strength and endurance, and positive well-being are, then and now, required in order to live successfully.
In 2021 the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health (NCCIH) worked in partnership with the Aqqiumavvik Society to develop this booklet, as well as three other booklets in the series.
In 2025 the NCCIH collaborated with the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS) to develop the booklets in two additional dialects.
The booklets are available for download in:
The booklets are also as available for hard copy order from the NCCIH at no charge.
