Indigenous Communities Need to be Partners in Canada's COVID-19 Recovery Plan

2020

Quesnel, J.

Description

The author argues that because most First Nations communities are located near resource projects, which offer opportunities for high paying jobs, meaningful steps must be taken to achieve tangible economic independence for First Nations communities and ensure they are not left behind in recovery planning. These steps must include full participation and partnership of First Nations in those projects.
