Principles of a Just Recovery

Just Recovery

Description

The authors argue that chronic under-investment and inaction by all levels of government to address socio-economic and environmental determinants of Indigenous Peoples' health have exposed systemic inadequacies and inequities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on the need to reckon with these inequities in recovery planning, the authors articulate a set of key principles that should underlie all recovery planning efforts to ensure that traditionally marginalized populations benefit equally from recovery efforts.
