Description

The authors conducted a study of the health of ringed seals harvested by hunters from two locations in Baffin Island, Nunavut, using Western science and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit knowledges. They found that the two knowledge systems were complementary - each bringing a different set of indicators to assess the health of this important food source.
