This resource is one of a series of six Healthy Aging booklets for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis adults (aged 18 to 49 years) and older adults (aged 50+ years) in Canada. It was developed in response to requests from Indigenous families and community partners for culturally relevant resources to support the health and well-being of First Nations people, Inuit, and Métis people throughout the aging process.
This booklet promotes overall health and improved quality of life by practicing healthy eating habits. This includes limiting unhealthy foods when and if possible, consuming traditional foods, and staying hydrated to keep your mind and body healthy and functioning properly.
